Message from WFDSA Congress XIII 2008 “Empowering Lives Globally”

On behalf of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) and the Direct Selling Association of Singapore (DSAS), it is our pleasure to invite you to attend the WFDSA World Congress XIII in Singapore. It has been 20 years since Singapore last hosted the Congress. The event will be held at the Raffles City Convention Centre from 8 to 10 October 2008.
Themed "Empowering Lives Globally", it aptly reflects how the direct selling trade, with its ease of entry, has empowered many people around the world by providing them with an employment opportunity or sometimes, a career. With a global direct selling salesforce of more than 58 million individuals, it is poised for further expansion to keep pace with the growth of the industry. Hence, the 13th World Congress is the optimal platform for the direct selling community to take stock and also to chart the future growth of the industry, internationally, regionally as well as on national levels.
The WFDSA World Congress XIII 2008 will be an excellent educational and networking forum for industry members. To this end, the organizing committee has put together a power-packed program consisting of stellar keynote sessions and engaging workshops to present fresh ideas and creative approaches to the participants.
Congress highlights such as an inspiring keynote address by Muhammad Yunus, founder of the Grameen Bank - banking without collateral for the poorest of the poor and 2006 Nobel Prize Winner as well as a CEO Panel are just examples of what await all delegates at the WFDSA World Congress XIII in 2008.
The program also includes other general and workshop sessions to cater to the diverse interest and business practices of our delegates over the duration of the three-day congress.
Singapore, a cosmopolitan city of possibilities located at the crossroad of vibrant Asia is an exciting venue for the Congress. Her combination of a rich Asian heritage and cosmopolitan society will intrigue you.
